Dog park was more like old tennis courts. Softball fields were more like T-Ball fields. Was not impressed with this park. In addition, parking was a complete tow risk because there were hardly any affiliated with the actual park. Compared to Arlington dog parks, this place is one you should avoid.
Puppy Park
Dog park is a good size, and easy to keep and eye on your dog. It has a gravel floor and is a bit sandy so whenever we take our pup, we always need to give her a bath after. There is a good amount of room for the dogs to run around and usually there are always others for them to play with.
Best small, fenced dog park in Fairlington. Shirlington dog park is too big and it's chaos. This one has a responsible tight-knit community of owners. Crushed gravel on the ground means good drainage and the dogs don't dig holes much. There's a red plumbing fixture with 2 water spigots on a small concrete pad in the shade. Three picnic tables and another park bench as well as a roofed pavilion in the center. 2 ways double gates with area in between to safely get on and off leash. S Stafford ends in a cul de sac so no through-traffic. This makes it safer to get to and from the car. The other side of the park borders a grass playing field. Best part is it's small enough that dogs never roam in a pack and pick on each other.
Great place to bring dog, especially if you live in an apartment
